Delivery and Courier Driver - (1 year-contract)

What you will be doing:
- Loading and unloading of vehicles
- Prepare vehicle for delivery. Verify all items are securely loaded and protected from the elements and all accompanying paperwork is available
- Operate vehicle to transport material to site & branches.
- Maintain remote communications via telephone; follow instructions and provide status updates
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including documenting daily inspections and ensuring safety equipment, straps and paperwork are in place
- Follow safe operating procedures. Advise supervisor of potential hazards
- Accountable for working safely and ensuring that all work is conducted in compliance with health and safety policies and legislation
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials
- Keep warehouse organized, clean, and compliant with safety standards
- Operate material-handling equipment as needed
- Assist in loading/unloading shipments within the warehouse
- Other duties as assigned
What do you bring:
- Must hold a valid Class 5 license
- Clean driving record
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
