Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Controller / Finance & Accounting Manager with a strong background in manufacturing to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and lead the accounting team. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in managing foreign currency transactions, cost accounting, meeting strict deadlines, and aligning financial processes with manufacturing business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Financial Control

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations for manufacturing entities, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with IFRS/GAAP and company policies.

• Cost Accounting & Inventory Management

Supervise cost accounting activities—standard costing, variance analysis, bill of materials (BOM) reviews, inventory valuation, and physical inventory counts. Partner with operations to drive cost reduction and margin improvement.

• Foreign Currency Transactions

Manage and monitor all foreign currency exposures arising from cross-border procurement, sales, and intercompany transactions. Execute hedging strategies and ensure proper FX accounting treatment.

• Deadline & Compliance Management

Drive the timely completion of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings within a manufacturing cycle. Ensure all internal and external reporting deadlines are consistently met.

• Team Leadership

 Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance and accounting professionals, including cost accountants, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

• Process Improvement

 Identify and implement improvements in financial systems, production-related workflows, and internal controls to increase efficiency and reduce risk in the manufacturing environment.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration

 Partner with manufacturing operations, supply chain, procurement, treasury, tax, and audit teams to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in controllership, finance, and accounting management, with significant exposure to the manufacturing industry
• Deep understanding of manufacturing cost accounting (standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation), production P&L analysis, and operational KPIs (OEE, throughput, scrap rates)
• Proven hands-on experience managing foreign currency transactions in a manufacturing context cross-border supplier payments, export sales, intercompany FX exposures, and hedge accounting
• Demonstrated track record of consistently meeting tight reporting and closing deadlines (monthly, quarterly, annual) in a manufacturing environment with complex inventory and production cycles
• Ability to adapt financial controls, ERP configurations, and reporting structures to fit the specific operational and regulatory needs of a manufacturing business
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA / ACCA / CMA or equivalent certification preferred
• Proficiency in manufacturing ERP systems (e.g., SAP CO/FI, Oracle Manufacturing, Microsoft Dynamics); advanced Excel skills
