OVERALL POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to lead and coordinate the planning and scheduling activities across all phases of the manufacturing process and subcontracted operations, ensuring alignment between business demand, customer commitments, available capacity, and resource availability. The role is responsible for consolidating requirements from Project Management, Spares, Field Service, and other key stakeholders, translating them into both detailed operational schedules and high-level execution plans that support the achievement of business objectives.
The position provides visibility and control over workload, capacity, and resource utilization, monitoring progress against commitments and proactively identifying, communicating, and mitigating risks that may impact delivery performance. Through effective planning, reporting, and KPI management, the role supports informed decision-making, drives operational efficiency, and ensures the successful execution of manufacturing and service-related activities.
CORE TASKS:
· Develop and maintain integrated manufacturing and subcontractor schedules, balancing customer commitments, priorities, capacity, and resources.
· Lead daily production planning meetings, monitoring progress, resolving issues, and following up on actions and constraints.
· Lead weekly planning review meetings with Purchasing, Procurement, Project Management, Field Service, Manufacturing, and other stakeholders to address delays, risks, supplier performance, and resource constraints.
· Gather and prioritize demand from Project Management, Spares, Field Service, and other business functions, translating requirements into operational and strategic plans.
· Perform monthly workload and capacity analyses, evaluating planning scenarios to support business decisions.
· Monitor manufacturing and subcontractor performance against plan, identifying, escalating, and resolving risks impacting delivery.
· Escalate resource shortages, supplier non-compliance, delivery risks, and planning conflicts, ensuring timely mitigation actions.
· Develop and enhance SAP planning reports, dashboards, and tools to improve visibility and decision-making.
· Manage schedule baselines, forecasts, progress updates, and planning governance in line with established standards.
· Monitor and report key planning KPIs, including schedule adherence, capacity utilization, workload, delivery performance, backlog, and supplier performance.
· Maintain SAP master data for routings, production orders, and work orders to support effective planning and material procurement.
· Review and update MRP dates and parameters in SAP to ensure material availability aligns with production schedules and delivery commitments.
· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy, resource utilization, operational efficiency, and delivery performance.

• Previous experience working with SAP production modules is desirable (PP, MM, WM modules).
• Ability to run MRP for planning purposes
Expected (Educational) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 4 years direct experience in production planning, master scheduling, or materials management within a factory environment in heavy industry, or manufacturing of metals/industrial paint/electrical assembly.
• Software skills: Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel (using pivot tables and VLOOKUP)
• APICS (CPIM) certification valued
