TK Elevator is seeking an analytical and execution-focused Buyer I in Olive Branch, MS to manage daily drop ship purchasing activities and ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.  

 

 

This role is responsible for managing daily drop ship purchasing activities and ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. This role is responsible for supplier sourcing, quote evaluation, purchase order placement, supplier follow-up, expediting, shipment coordination, and resolving order issues. The position works closely with suppliers, customers and internal teams to maintain supplier performance, control costs, and meet customer delivery requirements.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Coordinate material and shipment execution between assigned suppliers and customers, ensuring orders are accurately processed, delivery commitments are met, and shipment status is communicated throughout the order lifecycle.
  • Analyze usage trends and variability to refine stocking strategies with suppliers and improve responsiveness between supplier and customer
  • Execute daily purchasing activities driven by Sales Order Demands and real-time demand signals
  • Review purchase requisitions for accuracy and completeness; place orders with approved suppliers
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with the Procurement Team, including sourcing and executing one-off or exception purchases
  • Expedite purchase orders and proactively manage supply risks to ensure continuity
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and service performance
  • Participate in negotiations related to pricing, lead times, and service levels
  • Resolve supplier issues, including delays, discrepancies, and service failures
  • Communicate cost changes and supply constraints to stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate and timely data within ERP systems (Oracle/SAP)

 

 

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

 

  • Associate's degree. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings of component parts required.
  • Solid written and oral communication skills are essential for the role.
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented to manage multiple projects.
  • Up to 2 years in inventory planning, supply chain, or procurement within a demand-driven environment 
  • Strong analytical skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform multiple functions in a fast-paced environment.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

 

  • Experience in distribution, spare parts, or MRO environments
  • Familiarity with replenishment models such as min/max, reorder point, and safety stock optimization
  • Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma
  • Experience with Oracle ERP
  • Experience with Baxter planning system
