The role:

We're looking for a hands-on Board Repair Supervisor to lead our repair bench. You'll oversee daily repair operations, mentor technicians, and personally handle the most difficult diagnostic cases. This role suits someone who enjoys tracing a fault down to a single component and who can build a team that does the same consistently.

What you will be doing:

  • Supervise and schedule a team  repair technicians, assigning work based on priority, complexity, and turnaround commitments.
  • Perform and oversee component-level troubleshooting of controller, drive, power supply, and communication boards using schematics (or without them, through reverse engineering when schematics aren't available).
  • Serve as the escalation point for difficult failures, including intermittent faults, microcontroller and network-interface problems, and power-stage failures.
  • Develop and maintain repair procedures, test protocols, and a knowledge base of common failure modes by board type.
  • Build and maintain test fixtures and load-testing setups to verify repairs before boards ship.
  • Source replacement and obsolete components, working with distributors and evaluating suitable substitutes.
  • Enforce quality standards, including ESD handling, soldering workmanship and documented final testing.
  • Track key metrics such as turnaround time, first-pass yield, and warranty returns, and drive improvements.
  • Train new technicians and develop the skills of the existing team.

What do you bring:

Required

  • 5+ years of component-level electronics repair experience, including at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Strong analog and digital circuit knowledge, including power electronics (IGBTs, gate drivers, SMPS), microcontrollers, and industrial communication interfaces.
  • Proficiency with oscilloscopes, DMMs, bench power supplies, component testers, and thermal cameras.
  • Advanced through-hole and SMD soldering and rework skills
  • Ability to read schematics and to trace circuits on undocumented boards.
  • Strong organizational skills and clear written and verbal communication.

Preferred

  • Experience with elevator controllers, VFDs, or other industrial control equipment.
  • Diploma or degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Familiarity with EEPROM and firmware reading and programming tools.

What we offer

  • Total compensation range: $90,000 to $120,000
  • Company pension
  • Dental care
  • Disability insurance
  • Employee assistance program
  • Extended health care
  • Life insurance
  • On-site parking
  • Paid time off
  • Vision care
  • Bonus plans for all positions
  • Wellness Program
