What you will be doing:
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations in accordance with TKE policy, ensuring AR and AP transactions are accurately recorded. Investigate and resolve discrepancies with the appropriate department.
- Prepare general ledger account reconciliations, including cash, payroll, and intercompany accounts.
- Prepare journal entries for month-end close activities.
- Provide ongoing support for quarterly and annual audits.
- Conduct accounting research as needed and identify potential issues.
- Collaborate across Finance to streamline processes and improve work quality.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and reporting requirements, as well as ad hoc projects.
- Support internal control activities and documentation in accordance with corporate policies and audit requirements.
- Provide backup support for assigned reporting activities, including Power BI updates.
What do you bring:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant accounting experience in public accounting or industry.
- Working knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUP or INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, IF formulas, data validation, error checking, and working with large datasets.
- Analytical curiosity and professional skepticism; investigates unusual results and identifies root causes before escalating.
- Strong attention to detail and independent verification; reviews work for accuracy, completeness, and support.
- Ownership, learning agility, clear communication, teamwork, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
- Coachable and dependable; supports agreed team priorities and communicates risks or delays early.
Preferred Assets
- Successful completion of CPA PEP Core 1.
- 1 to 2 years of accounting-firm experience, preferably audit or assurance.
- Oracle or similar ERP experience.
- Experience with Power BI or other data-visualization and reporting tools.
- Multinational, multi-entity, or internal-control experience.
